Tokyo’s Accessory Museum will stay open until 7 p.m. on November 6 and 20, with last admission at 6:30 p.m. The two dates extend its usual 5 p.m. closing time. Visits require no reservation, and the museum’s normal admission charges apply.
On November 20, cello and violin mini concerts start at 4:30 p.m. in the first-floor Art Deco gallery and at 6 p.m. in the basement ready-to-wear gallery. Each room opens fifteen minutes beforehand. There is no additional concert charge, but visitors still need to pay museum admission. Viewing is generally standing, with priority chairs provided.
Opened in 2010, the museum holds about 100,000 objects spanning European and American accessories from the 1830s onward, postwar Japanese accessories and contemporary fashion. That collection gives the evening music program a setting in the history of what people wore. This is the museum’s first evening-opening initiative, held with ARTE TOKYO’s museum program. The venue is at 4-33-12 Kamimeguro in Meguro Ward. All times are Japan time.
