BS Nippon TV plans two episodes following Ai Tominaga’s visit to a copperware workshop in Tsubame, Niigata Prefecture. The broadcaster’s October 26 announcement schedules them for October 28 and November 4, 2026, at 10 p.m. Japan time.
The workshop has more than 200 years of history. The planned coverage follows craftspeople shaping copper sheet into vessels and examines the coloring stage. Tominaga also attempts to make a small plate by hammering a sheet of copper.
The visit is part of her weekly Wednesday program on Japanese traditional culture. Its wider remit includes the present circumstances of traditional work, succession and its future. The two-part workshop feature connects that program theme to a particular production process.
The announcement describes planned television content. It does not announce a public workshop session or viewer admission to the site.
冨永愛の伝統文化番組、鎚起銅器の制作を2週連続で紹介
ＢＳ日テレは10月26日、「冨永愛の伝統 to 未来～ニッポンの伝統文化を未来へ紡ぐ～」の鎚起銅器編を、2026年10月28日と11月4日の22時に2週連続で放送すると発表した。冨永愛が新潟県燕市の、200年以上の歴史を持つ玉川堂を訪ねる内容。銅板を打って器へ成形する職人の作業や着色工程を取材し、本人も銅板からの豆皿作りを試す。番組は毎週水曜に放送され、伝統文化の現状や継承、将来も扱う。今回は番組内容の予告であり、一般向け制作体験や現地入場の案内ではない。©ＢＳ日テレ
