Wani Books’ Anniversary Magazine Issue Counts Group and Solo Covers Separately

Wani Books released volume 368 of its long-running idol magazine on October 23, priced at ¥1,400 including tax. The December 2026 issue has 96 A4 pages and a double-sided B3 poster.

Its cover and twenty-page opening feature centre on Maria Makino, who graduated from Morning Musume. in June. The publisher counts eighteen appearances on its cover: seven solo covers and eleven with the group. Those figures describe appearances on this magazine, rather than a career-wide publication total.

The magazine began in 1986 and is marking its fortieth anniversary. This issue also brings together performers from several generations of Morning Musume., including an anniversary interview with a former member returning after about twenty years. The release date is in October despite the issue’s December cover date.
