Globe-Trotter has announced Japan online orders for a second luggage collaboration with British artist David Shrigley. The new collection was presented at Art Basel Paris on October 22. Japan’s listed price is 616,000 yen including tax, with orders directed to the brand’s official Japanese storefront.

Four colour-and-artwork designs use a four-wheel carry-on case, each illustrated with a bird. The announced birds are a gull, owl, heron and pigeon. The cases measure 42 by 56 by 21 centimetres, have a stated capacity of 34 litres and weigh 4.2 kilograms. Serial numbering identifies the limited collection.

The artwork is printed directly onto vulcanised fibreboard, with finishing carried out by hand in Hertfordshire, England. Text also appears on the lining, and a copy of the artist’s Creative Writing is included inside a zipped pocket. The book connection is a physical part of the product, beyond the illustrations on the shell.

The collection is based on Globe-Trotter’s existing Centenary four-wheel carry-on format. These are manufacturer specifications and design details, rather than independent durability or airline-cabin compliance tests. Buyers should check current stock, delivery conditions and their carrier’s baggage rules before ordering. The artist’s drawings and written passages are not reproduced in this report.
