Ongakuza Musical will bring its new stage adaptation of A Monster Calls to Kota, Aichi Prefecture, on November 22. The company has also added December 17 and 18 performances to its Tokyo run after the originally scheduled Tokyo performances sold out, according to its October 23 announcement.
The production is based on Patrick Ness’s novel. It is the company’s first new musical since SUNDAY in 2018, connecting this season’s programme to an eight-year gap between new works. An October 11 preview at Ota’s Aprico hall has already taken place; the Aichi and December performances are still ahead.
The Tokyo engagement runs from December 11 to 20 at Sogetsu Hall. First advance sales for the additional performances start on October 31 at 10 a.m. for Ongakuza Mate Prime members. General sales are scheduled for November 14 at 10 a.m. All times are Japan time.
The added dates and their ticket windows concern the Tokyo engagement. They should not be read as the booking schedule for the November 22 Aichi performance. Check the company’s performance information for the relevant venue, available seats and booking conditions.
