A2O Entertainment Japan says A2O LITE’s debut single NEON has reached two Billboard JAPAN rankings and two Oricon weekly rankings. Its October 23 announcement puts the song at No. 2 on Top User Generated Songs in Billboard JAPAN’s October 21 update, and also reports No. 5 on Hot Shot Songs.
Those are separate chart categories. The label explains that Top User Generated Songs is compiled from viewing activity for user-created videos on YouTube, giving readers a different reference point from a general singles ranking.
The same release reports No. 48 on both Oricon’s weekly streaming and digital-single rankings dated October 26. That is the chart date given by the label, rather than a new release date: NEON came out on October 13.
The company also reports three Korean television music-show wins on October 20, 21 and 22. These results are presented here as the agency’s account; its announcement says full-scale Japanese promotion had not yet begun.
