Cats provide the common thread for a new anthology spanning fiction, poetry, manga and other forms. Kawade Shobo Shinsha will publish Neko, whose title means “cats,” on October 22, 2026, as the first volume in a new anthology series.

The book brings together newly written contributions from 20 creators. One contributor, game commentator hacchi, makes a fiction debut with a short contribution, according to the publisher. The hardback is priced at ¥2,310.

The series comes from the editorial team behind spin, a magazine that ended publication in June 2026. Its attention to the physical book continues here: the first volume uses grey cover paper with black and silver printing.

Two further volumes, themed around curry and voices, are planned for November 25 and December 17. The publisher also offers a three-book purchase campaign for a bookmark set; applications and purchase proof are required, so buying the first volume alone does not qualify.
