The Osaka edition of an exhibition about director Mamoru Hosoda opened October 28, 2026 at Grand Front Osaka. An October 30 organiser report identifies an early Wolf Children plot document as an addition that was not shown at the earlier Tokyo venue.
The exhibition includes production material for The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Summer Wars and Wolf Children, plus an Early Days section. Storyboards, layouts, original drawings and background art provide different views of the filmmaking process.
International fan outlook and trend context — Editorial forecast
Compared with the Tokyo presentation, the Osaka edition adds the early Wolf Children plot document, allowing visitors to consider an initial story outline alongside later production materials. Editorial forecast: overseas Hosoda fans interested in animation development may be drawn to that addition because it connects story planning with the visual work used to make the films.
The Osaka run is scheduled through January 4, 2027, with closures December 31 and January 1. Opening hours are 10 a.m.–6 p.m., with last admission at 5:30 p.m. The October 27 media talk described in the report has already taken place; it is not an upcoming public appearance.
