Fans who missed the October 17 fan meeting in Iyo will have another route to its merchandise. Anime producer Infinite says online sales of goods from the This Monster Wants to Eat Me gathering will begin at noon on October 24 through its anime-goods storefront.
The first-anniversary acrylic stand is priced at 2,500 yen including tax, while the A4 clear file costs 600 yen. A denim pouch is listed at 1,700 yen. The stand and clear file use a new anniversary illustration by the anime’s character designer. The stand’s base incorporates a water-like treatment inspired by the coast and sea around Iyo.
Iyo is the setting of the anime as well as the location of the fan meeting. That connection matters to this range: the seaside treatment is tied to the place represented in the work, rather than being a generic decorative theme. The new announcement concerns online merchandise sales after the gathering, not another in-person event.
