Hayakawa Publishing plans to bring a new Agatha Christie paperback promotion to 500 bookshops nationwide from early December. The fair is expected to continue until around February 2027, with dates varying by participating store. Ten invited readers from the worlds of fiction, criticism and entertainment have selected books for special recommendation bands.

The programme marks two anniversaries in 2026: fifty years since Christie’s death and a century since the publication of The Murder of Roger Ackroyd. Hayakawa identifies itself as the official Japanese publisher of Christie’s works. The campaign introduces those books through contemporary recommendations without changing the works themselves.

There is also a separate Tokyo talk on November 29 from 2:30 to 4 p.m. at the Japan Publishing Club hall in Jimbocho. Admission is free but requires an advance application, with capacity stated as 150. That event has its own date and entry arrangements, distinct from the nationwide retail fair.

The publisher additionally plans three A5-format volumes of its manga adaptation of And Then There Were None for November 18, priced at 2,310 yen per volume including tax. Those books and the talk are related parts of the anniversary programme; attending the Tokyo event is not a requirement for finding the fair’s books at participating shops.
