Sendai’s Koji Takeda Exhibition Separates Free Gallery Entry from Paid Readings

A six-day exhibition in Sendai will trace poet Koji Takeda’s work from 1996 to 2026. Admission to the SARP gallery exhibition is free, but several accompanying readings and talks have their own fees and small audience limits.

The exhibition runs November 3–8, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., closing at 6 p.m. on the final day. Three evening readings at the neighbouring cafe on November 3–5 cost ¥2,000 each with a special menu. The November 6 talk costs ¥1,500 with a drink and is limited to ten people; a November 7 reading with music and live painting costs ¥3,500 with a drink and is limited to fifteen. Reservations are handled through the organisers’ listed social accounts.

Takeda’s practice includes poetry collections, live readings, radio and workshops. The programme brings those spoken and collaborative forms alongside the gallery display. A free performance at SARP is scheduled for 2–3 p.m. on November 8, while the preceding paid events take place at neighbouring cafes.

武田こうじの1996〜2026年の活動を振り返る作品展が、11月3〜8日に仙台市青葉区のSARPで開催予定。展示入場は無料、11〜19時（最終日18時まで）です。隣接カフェでの3〜5日の朗読会は各2,000円、6日のトークはドリンク付1,500円・10名、7日の音楽やライブペイントを交えた朗読会はドリンク付3,500円・15名。予約は発表記載の公式SNSで受け付けます。最終日のSARP公演は14〜15時・無料。詩集、朗読、ラジオやワークショップにまたがる活動を紹介する企画で、展示の無料入場と各関連イベントの条件は分かれています。
