Universal Studios Japan has announced a spring 2027 program based on Fullmetal Alchemist as part of Universal Cool Japan 2027. A second program based on another Hiromu Arakawa series, about twins linked to supernatural pairs, is planned for the same season. Attraction formats and exact dates remain unannounced.
The wider Cool Japan event begins rolling out on December 2, 2026, but that is not the announced opening date for these two programs. The park says further attraction, food and merchandise information will follow. The new announcements concern experiences at its Osaka park.
International fan outlook and trend context — Editorial forecast
The park dates its first Fullmetal Alchemist collaboration to the 2005 Premium Tour; the planned 2027 return comes twenty-two years later and adds a simultaneous program from another Arakawa work. Overseas fans who follow Arakawa across different series may be interested in that combination because one park visit could connect two parts of the creator’s work. This is an editorial forecast, not a report of observed overseas demand.
This is an editorial outlook on the announced pairing, not a confirmed itinerary. Consult the park’s official updates before arranging a visit: spring is a planning window, and the release does not yet identify either program’s attraction format or detailed operating dates.
