A vending machine at JFA’s blue-ing! football venue in Tokyo’s Bunkyo ward pairs an eligible Kirin drink with one miniature-uniform-style bottle cover. Kirin says the machine was installed on October 16; its announcement followed on October 19.
The purchase sequence is part of the arrangement. Customers pay the amount displayed for an eligible drink and collect the bottle from the left-hand outlet. The display then shows 777, allowing the customer to turn a separate handle and collect a blue or red cover from the right-hand outlet. The release describes one drink and one cover as a set; it does not present 777 as the price.
The three eligible drinks come in two 500ml formats and one 555ml format. Prices are shown on the machine, and visitors should check the venue’s opening hours before travelling. Kirin describes the installation as a way to combine beverage sales with football-supporter merchandise. A separate trading-card pairing is planned from November onward, rather than being part of the current bottle-cover offer.
